If you’re looking to improve the performance of your 6.7 Powerstroke engine, installing an EGR delete kit is a great option.
Why Install an EGR Delete Kit on a 6.7 Powerstroke?
Let’s delve more into its benefits of the EGR delete kit and why we should follow it. By installing an EGR delete kit, you can potentially reduce costs on repairs and fuel, as well as decrease the soot deposits that an EGR valve produces. Disabling the EGR valve can prevent harmful contaminants from being reintroduced back into the engine, which can result in problems.
Emissions
An EGR delete kit reduces emissions by removing the restriction of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves and catalytic converters. This means that more fuel enters the engine, which results in increased power and reduced emissions overall.[Source:EGR Delete – What Are The Pros And Cons?]
Reliability
The EGR system can also cause reliability issues in your engine. The buildup of soot and carbon can cause the EGR valve to stick open or closed, which can lead to a loss of power or even engine damage. Removing the EGR system can help improve reliability by reducing the chances of these issues occurring.
Performance
Another reason people install EGR delete kits is to improve performance. The EGR system can cause a reduction in power and torque, as well as a decrease in fuel economy. Removing the EGR system can help improve engine performance by increasing power and torque, as well as improving fuel economy.
Fuel Economy
Removing the EGR system can also help improve fuel economy. The EGR system can cause a reduction in fuel economy by reducing power and torque, as well as causing a buildup of soot and carbon in the engine. Benefits of EGR Delete Kit
We’ve touched on what an EGR delete kit is and how it can improve your engine’s performance, but let’s delve more into its benefits. Installing an EGR delete kit reduces costs on repairs and fuel costs, as well as decreases soot deposits that an EGR valve produces. Disabling it prevents harmful contaminants from being reintroduced back into the engine, resulting in problems.
As mentioned above, the kit lowers the engine temperature, via lowering exhaust gas and levels, since it enables more circulation in the engine, promoting a lower coolant temperature during operation. Last, but not least, these kits are affordable for many vehicles and even cheap for some vehicles.[Source:rkxtech.com]

Tips for Install EGR Delete Kit 6.7 powerstroke
- Never work on a hot vehicle. Serious injury in the form of burns can result if the vehicle hasbeen in use. Allow vehicle to cool prior to installation.Always wear eye protection when working on or under any vehicle.
- Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles anywhere in the United States. Legal ONLY for off-road competition racing vehicles and can not be used on vehices that are operated on public streets, roads, or highways.
- For a used vehicle, it’s recommended to apply a penetrating spray lubricant liberally to all exhaust fasteners. It’s important to allow a significant amount of time for the chemical to lubricate the threads before attempting to disassemble them. This can help prevent damage to the fasteners and make it easier to remove them.
